Selma d. Yznaga is a counselor educator at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Her teaching, service, and scholarship are informed by serving immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers in transition. Dr. Yznaga coordinates Texas/Mexico projects for Counselors Without Borders, training pre-licensed and licensed volunteers to serve the mental health and psychosocial needs of people on the move as well as the humanitarian community that assists this population.
