Ms. Chakravartula is the Managing Attorney at the Center for Gender & Refugee Studies (CGRS). Founded in 1999, CGRS protects the fundamental human rights of, women, children, LGBTQ individuals, and other refugees fleeing gender-based violence and other harms. Ms. Chakravartula coordinates CGRS's Expert Witness Database, a searchable repository of mental health, forensic medical evaluators, country conditions experts, and others who serve as expert witnesses in immigration cases based on the applicant's fear of return to their country of origin.
