Lauren Marcell is a third year medical student at the University of Washington. She is the founder and student co-director of the UWSOM Asylum Evaluation Student Clinic that serves King County, WA. She has a strong interest in global health equity, reproductive justice and asylum and refugee health. She has led research and presented at the North American Refugee Healthcare Conference in 2019 and 2020 on group prenatal care as an intervention to improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes for refugee communities in Seattle.
