Area of expertise: Pro-Bono Medical/Psychological Evaluation Coordination

I developed and ran a major network of volunteer medical and psychological evaluators in the Seattle area, coordinating evaluations for >1000 survivors of trauma who sought asylum or other types of humanitarian immigration relief.

A year ago, I transferred to the IRC where I worked with the US and European Offices to lay the foundation for the creation of locally based volunteer evaluation networks, embedded within IRC's various offices. Local offices are supported by a national support team. IRC's evaluation networks provide both medical and psychological evaluations and all of our services are completely free to the applicants. We are now launching three official IRC evaluation networks: one in Washington state (based in Seattle), one in Arizona (based out of the Tucson office), and one in Texas (based in Dallas). Some of our current medical evaluators are members of the SAM and recommended that I reach out.
